Our Puppy Preschool is an interactive and fun four week training course that covers the essentials of socialisation, command training, and puppy welfare.
Puppy class is completed over a four week period on Thursday evenings here in clinic, commencing at 6:30pm and usually ending by 7:30pm, and covers topics such as,
Week 1: Introduction to puppy behaviours including problem behaviours, socialisation, nutrition and learning basic commands
Week 2: Vaccination and worming protocols, microchipping, learning further commands
Week 3: Grooming, nail clipping, oral care, and puppy enrichment
Week 4: Desexing and puppy graduation night with games and certificates a fun night for all
Puppies must be between the ages of 8-14 weeks and have had their first vaccination one week prior to attending.
We ask that a maximum of two family members come along with your puppy due to the current covid situation however this is subject to change. Please bring your puppy with their collar and lead. We do provide treats and toys but you are more than welcome to bring your own if your puppy prefers them.
Our puppy preschool instructor Megan Chamberlain is also a qualified veterinary nurse at Kwinana Veterinary Hospital and an experienced dog groomer. Megan will equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to train your puppy, including important social skills, in a fun and safe environment. Megan will help you to best support your puppy through to adulthood by teaching you about basic puppy health and providing professional advice. She can also provide discounted offers that are exclusive for all puppy preschool members.
