Course Details:
Week 1: Information Night NO PUPPIES ALLOWED!!
- This class goes for around 30 minutes, and is an information night for Shontae and Kirsty to introduce themselves and get to know you. We have enrolment forms and permissions slips for you to complete. This is also a class for us to understand what goals you would like to achieve in puppy preschool.
Week 2: First Session with Puppies
- We cover topics such as toileting, biting, and building a trust barrier with your puppy. “Sit” and “stay” are covered on the first night, puppies learn to socialise with one another, and we play some games.
Week 3: Second Session with Puppies
- Topics covered are digging, and recapping on building trust between human and puppy. We begin “lay”, “down/drop” and recall, and advanced games for practice “sit” are incorporated.
Week 4: Third Session with Puppies
- Tonight we cover all things including “enrichment” i.e. games, toys and puzzles and how to use them to boost enrichment and to tire our puppies mentally. “Commando crawl” or “spin” are taught. We also introduce agility equipment e.g. tunnels, hoops and cones.
Week 5: Graduation
- Graduation night is the best night, as our puppies share their graduation cake, we have an awards ceremony, and play loads of games.
We aim to stick to this schedule as best as we can but we are open to incorporating anything your interested in learning about.
